Well, as of June 2013, my former intended publisher has stopped putting out new books, so Student Body (previously planned cover art at left) now is back on the market. On the one hand, this is sharply disappointing, because at under 3 months before planned release, the project had been so close to fruition that I could almost taste it. On t'other hand, though...well, although the process is time-consuming and exhausting, it is indeed always exciting to look for new opportunities at another press. So I guess we'll just see how it goes, eh?

Today at Curious Books in East Lansing I picked up 28 more Heinlein books for my cover art galleries—28! They took quite a while to scan. They took quite a while to post on the site. And they're going to take quite a while to shelve, as everything from "H" on down will have to move about 20 inches to the right... Still, I am really glad to get these, as they are a great mix of SF art old and new, including, among others, several rousing mid-1970s pieces from Darrell K. Sweet. Enjoy, Rafeeq Today, from The Reading Place in Charlotte, Michigan, I added another three new (to me) copies of Heinlein and added the covers to my galleries: another Cat Who Walks through Walls by Michael Whelan, a Time Enough for Love by James Warhola, and a Past through Tomorrow that seems to be signed "FW." One of these days I'll add more in the non-Heinlein "Other" gallery, but I figured that these Heinlein make a good haul for right now. Enjoy! Rafeeq |
