The Bibliophile’s Personal Library
As you can see from my Heinlein Cover Art galleries, I happen to have a good 400-plus pieces by Robert A. Heinlein sitting on my shelves. Now, I don’t collect any other authors in such a fashion, fortunately, but when we combine these with books by all the other writers one might have in A through Z, along with various non-fiction things...why, we end up with a fair bit of stuff.
I have always had books in my life, but the more one’s collection grows, the more important it becomes to take care of it, really take care of it, in a fashion both loving and methodical. Across the many, many years of book mischief I have learned a thing or two about managing an ever-growing mass of books, sometimes the hard way, and I have come to some definite conclusions. At the beginning of 2022, therefore, I finally wrote a handy little how-to guide for fellow aficionados. The Bibliophile’s Personal Library: A Journey to Curating and Cataloging Your Book Collection is...well, exactly what the subtitle says. If you, too, like books, and have a big, perhaps-unwieldy whack of ’em, then this colorful little tome may be just the thing you need! |
