Letters from Gregory Road
Around the turn of the century, my partner, who happens to be, among other things, an English professor, had a column in the local newspaper, in which she discussed a wide variety of topics of Midwestern country life: beekeeping, sheep, possums, local history, and many, many others.
When finally I started leafing through all the old clippings jumbled in a big folder, I found them entertaining, informative, and rather charming, really. Wow, I thought, it would be neat to organize these and collect them into a little book so that others could enjoy them again, too. Indeed. So I resurrected these wonderful essays, and now Letters from Gregory Road: Country Observations from Fowlerville, Michigan, 1997-2002 is available on Amazon. Enjoy! |
